The top rate for CDs this week are at Flagstar Bank and Pentagon Federal Credit Union for 4 and 7-year certificates of deposit, respectively, paying 4.50%.

For shorter term, GMAC Bank has a 12-month CD with a 3.75% annual percentage rate.
